So here we are in 2022..
So the C5/C6 brake..probably one of the most converted brake in history..think about it..there is a conversion to C5 or C6 brakes for just about everything that needs a brake..I would be surprised if the kid down the street didn’t put a set on his Schwinn yet. That says a lot but also leaves nothing on the table for conversions like this..we just recently had to discontinue the C6 Z06 conversion- no calipers anywhere to be had…now we are in the same boat with the rear backing plates..hey- you guys that dont need a backing plate and have a caliper _no problem..you want a park brake..? better find a set of backing plates be cause we cannot any longer ! We went used for a long time after you could not get new anymore..now used are hard to get..you have to buy 1/4 of the car to get them if you find that even…(knee assembly) yes the dismantlers dont want to do more work or be left with parts they wont sell so they offer you 1/4 of the car for 3-500$ so what if you just want the backing plate? your buying it all if you want it right ..!?

Developed to compliment the numerous Generation 5 and 6 corvette front upgrades is this matching rear bracket kit. A modular design to allow the use of the factory C5 or C6 park brake This bracket and spacer set will mount the C5 or any variation of C6 rear brakes to your 9 bolt axle with a factory park brake. Left out of the LS1 rear swap because of the bolt pattern difference these rear brackets will allow any disc 9 bolt axle to be swapped to the corvette C5 or C6 brakes. Base c5/c6 rear brakes are almost identical to the LS1 rear brakes making this the best alternative to upgrade the 9 bolt to matching type rear brake for a LS1 front converted car or ideally a C5/C6 converted car. Versatile mounting options, mount fore or aft or staggered if desired. Completely bolt on with off the shelf parts.
